Sugar is a common part of our daily life, but many people don’t realise how additive it can be. Consuming sugar release dopamine,a chemical in the brain that is associated with pleasure. This creates cravings for sugary foods, making it difficult to reduce its intake.
Sugar is included in many foods including items like bread, sauces, snacks. Making it difficult to cut down. People who reduce sugar intake may experience cravings, low energy, irritability, which often leads them to old habits.
Gradually reducing sugar intake and replacing it with natural sources like fruits, stevia, jaggery, honey and maintaining balanced diet can help in cutting down the sugars.
