Start of the day with a cup of caffeine... 2 sides of the coin

Most of us like to have a cup of tea or coffee when we start our work for the day.

Some amazing benefits, according to the doctor’s portal(AMA), like:

  • It helps release dopamine, which helps treat depression
  • It increases metabolism by the release of gastrin
  • reduced risk of cardiovascular disease, lower risk of type 2 diabetes, according to AMA doctor, Dr. Devries.
  • Helps with headaches
  • Increase stamina

However, when we flip a coin as much as it eases our brain to be awake, it has some negative side effects as well

  • :cyclone:Anxiety :- High amount of caffeine can trigger the release of adrenaline, the “fight-or-flight” hormone associated with increased energy.
  • :zzz:Insomnia:- Too much coffee, especially before bed, makes it difficult for a person to sleep.
  • :shamrock: Addiction :- Caffeine can cause psychological or physical dependency, especially at high dosages.
  • :fire:High blood pressure:- It tends to cause a transient increase in blood pressure.
  • :yawning_face:Rebound fatigue:- It is produced when the effect of caffeine leaves our body.

:sunflower:What, according to you, can be other benefits or side effects of caffeine?? :sunflower:

The anxiety and palpitations are really bad after 6 shots of coffee. Would never do that again haha.

I once mistook a 10rs. pack for a single serve and poured it all in (absent mindedly) and had that coffee. The tremors and palpitations with the urge to punch someone was real for the next 20 mins.

Good message. But I don’t consume caffeine. I don’t drink tea or coffee. I try to stay fresh in natural ways like drinking water or doing small walk. Caffeine is good for some people, but not for all.

Decaf is a good option. Try it if you are in this ‘moral’ dilemma.:smiling_face:

From my experience 1 cup of coffee is actually good. Gives a fresh start to the day and makes you alert. I am a coffee :hot_beverage: person.
