The damage of the kidney is not confined to older adults any longer. A growing percentage of young people are getting early kidney damage that many times is not diagnosed until people undergo routine checkups. The risk of this trend is that normally there are no symptoms of kidney damage, and it advances without notice until losses of functionality have taken place.
Among the most important factors is the big consumption of painkillers and particularly NSAIDs. The acute consumption useful in the headache and the body or post-workout soreness may slowly decrease the renal blood flow and The available renal tissue will be damaged. Their convenience of being sold over the counter gives them false security.
The second risk is that there has been an increase in the inappropriate consumption of protein supplement and creatine especially among young people who aim to go to the gym. Protein rich diet with little or no hydration or medical care raises in the renal load particularly in individuals who are not known to have a weak kidney.
The issue is also aggravated further by lifestyle. Kidney strain is caused by chronic dehydration, the high-salt and processed diet, energy drinks, alcohol, smoking, difficult sleeping and stress. Early damage progresses at an early age due to metabolic problems such as obesity and insulin resistance.
In only cases of cases where the kidney damage is early it is sometimes only indicated by mild increases in creatinine in the blood or the presence of protein in the urine that are ignored until they deteriorate to the chronic kidney disease. Cautious intake of painkillers, supplements, hydration, diet, and regular check-ups are some of the preventive measures.
Do you believe young adults are not taking risks of kidney caused by regular habits enough or is the issue of kidney health not discussed?
