Ergots are still applicable in select migraine patients but are no longer rarely first-line due to the risk of severe side effects such as dry gangrene. There are safer alternatives, and ergot derivatives must be reserved for special cases under close medical supervision.

Dopamine receptors

Adrenergic receptors

Alternative treatments like triptans may be safer. Close monitoring is essential for patients on ergotamines. Careful patient selection is crucial to minimize risks.

It can be taken but not frequently and only during early migrane attacks dude to it’s adverse effects

many researches shows the useful of ergot for many diseases.
