Resting, but still not at rest

Being student means your every break comes with pressure. You finally decide to rest, close your books, scroll little, lie down but your mind doesn’t stop.

It keeps reminding you - you should be studying , others are doing more, you are wasting your time and you are not really resting. You’re just pausing your work while carrying the guilt and worst part, you go back to studying feeling even more tired than before.

Rest started feeling like a reward you have to earn and not something you actually need.

But the truth is you are not lazy for needing a break, you are just human being trying to keep up with a lot.

Maybe rest isn’t about stopping work, maybe it’s allowing yourself to stop without feeling like you are falling behind.

This mostly happens with us too. What’s your opinion?

Well said. We all have that phase in life. Make sure to pause a little and breathe.

So well written, it’s difficult to ‘rest’ because of multiple reasons but I think we feel at ease only when we mentally decide and allow ourselves to rest. Some small things that we do to take care of ourselves or some activity that makes us feel happy can help us recharge

Well explained.Guilt often makes rest less effective.Allowing proper breaks can actually improve productivity.

This is very relatable. Rest should be part of studying, not something to feel guilty about. Without proper breaks, both focus and learning ability reduce, so real recovery is necessary for better productivity.

Absolutely right :+1:

True! The stress and expectations out weigh the true feeling of being happy and satisfied. We are constantly in the fear of future.
