It’s still sugar but slightly better and sugars in jaggery form are released slowly into the blood thus helping from sugar spikes in Diabetics.

I’ve been using jaggery instead of sugar for a long time. It’s a lot better than sugar but still don’t over consume it and buy it from a good source only. At the end it’s still sugar. Honey is a good alternative too.
