Real stuggle of 1st year of BDS.......Tooth Carving

I had the most difficult time in understanding the terminologies, and carving it in to the wax block…
Without proper technique it’s quite difficult…

What’s your experience of 1st Year DADH LAB…???

I found DA DH the most difficult.. I never understood many of the terms … only after we started leaning clinical subjects, I could relate and understand things better. I feel like this should be at least a third year subject.

I think you’re gonna hate me after this. But to be honest i enjoyed carving, though the tooth anatomy was difficult to understand. I not only carved tooth but carved many sculptures during free time.

This is so correct or even 2nd year let’s see because of cavity preparation in preclinical cons!

Initially it was difficult for me too but then slowly, with practice, got a hang of it and would carve up tooth for my friends as well. But the best part I still remember from the DADH lab is at least one of the student used to slip in the lab because of wax particles all over the floor and that was the highlight, not to mention, even I slipped once hahahahahahha :joy:
