Wearables like smartwatches track your health, which is useful—but they also collect a lot of personal data. If not properly protected, that info could be misused. It’s cool tech, but keeping your health data private is just as important.
Many apps track your daily activities and health apps are no better.
knowingly or unknowingly we were giving a lot of data to the big tech anyway… it’s just one more data collecting platform now that wearable health techs has become a norm
That’s the thing!
It is unlikely that any tech device nowadays give a solid assurance of privacy… For many companies, the real profit isn’t just in selling the product it is in the data they collect
@Dr.Harshwardhan as per my opinion it depend on our mindset of businessmen who is making a a smartwatch , they want to bring a changes in our life , making life easy and for data protection , there are policy which are regulated by government bodies and Followed by MNC Companies , health tech companies , there is rules and regulation made for data privacy act.
Totally agree. The convenience of wearables often overshadows how much sensitive data they gather. What’s worrying is that users rarely read privacy policies or know where their data is going. There really needs to be more transparency and stronger regulations around this.
