When I decided on Microbiology, I believed that the path was going to remain in laboratories, research papers, and petri dishes.
However, here is what I have discovered: Microbiology is not any science degree. It’s a mindset.
It trains you to:

And that is what the business world wants.

I still remember how lost I felt as a microbiology student—constantly overthinking my future, unsure if I was on the “right” path, and quietly comparing myself to people who seemed to have it all figured out. There were moments it genuinely felt like I was falling behind. The shift from science to management wasn’t planned, and it definitely wasn’t easy. But within a year, things started to change—I found my space in the corporate world as an Assistant Brand Manager and also became the Vice Captain of Content at To-let Globe. Looking back, nothing magically fell into place—I just kept showing up, trying, learning, and trusting that something would eventually make sense. And it did.
