MBA after MBBS

I’ve seen many people pursue mba after completing mbbs . Is it really worth it ?

Yes, worth it if you have an entrepreneurial streak or aspirations or interested in administrative career. Even if you continue to do pure clinical practice, the learning of MBA will help. There too, helps in better practice management.

Great Idea
Today there is a lot of competition in medical field.
Maybe you are motivated in starting of your medical journey, but later on you can find that this is not something you are looking at as your dream.
MBA can help you explore new areas, plus your medical experience can count in it.

But one should remember that running away is not an option.
Do question yourself that do you really want to pursue this or it was just a bad day and you want to continue your path.
Every aspect has its’ challenges and benefits.

Really good to choose a path like that.
MBA in hospital management is a good choice.
After MBA, being an entrepreneur.
Setting a start-up.
Pharmaceutical industry.
One of my Anatomy professor resigned last week and set up a boutique.:hugs:

Doing an MBA after MBBS can be worth it if you want to move beyond clinical practice into healthcare management, hospital administration, or healthcare business roles. It gives you valuable skills in leadership, finance, and strategy that medical school doesn’t teach, opening up opportunities in running hospitals, healthcare startups, or consulting. But if you want to focus purely on medicine or specialization, an MBA might not add much value. It really depends on your career goals.

Good and undiscovered place for exploration. Well I’ve seen some FMGEs do it but haven’t been through it.

A very good option if the person has interest in non-clinical management tasks. Totally depends on preference of the persona and passion. Switching to MBA is worth it if the person interests lies in managing and leading teams.

I personally think it depends on your goals. If you’re interested in hospital administration, healthcare management, pharma, or starting your own venture, an MBA after MBBS can be very valuable. It shifts your path from clinical work to leadership, strategy, and business

One does not necessarily need an MBA to become an entrepreneur. But an MBA makes you spend money and gives you theoretical understanding how to do better in your business, enterprise or administrative responsibilities.

Anatomy can be a very limiting subject (a clavicle will always remain a clavicle), while boutique business can gain international fame.
I am sure the professor will overcome Achilles battle to infuse sartorial elegance in the boutique business.
