Longevity Science - Can We Slow Down Aging?

From senolytic drugs to NAD+ boosters, researchers are diving deep into what causes aging—and how to delay it. Is “living to 120” becoming a realistic scientific goal?

That’s an exciting question! Research into aging has accelerated tremendously, it’s a booming industry, with scientists exploring cellular senescence, mitochondrial health, and DNA repair as key factors. Living to 120 should not be the goal, but extending healthspan the number of years we live without disease looks increasingly achievable.

Yeah, I completely agree with you—if this is a natural process, then why play with your life? And somewhere down the line, all of this has side effects.

Aging is a completely natural phenomenon and it can not be completely slowed down, as a human body will age gradually. By various healthy lifestyle interventions we can delay the onset or apperance of certain morphological characteristics that come with ageing, but we cannot delay the ageing of the internal organs much. Besides, the objective should be how to live with gradual ageing in a healthy manner and what changes should we make in our diet, exercise routines, thought processes, and social life. Research literatures can be taken into consideration for getting a scientific idea related to how ageing should be tackled and then following the processes naturally (related to that information) without use of any supplementations or procedures. That way it’s more safe for health and ageing should be accepted in the name of more wisdom.

Ageing is purely a natural process and rather than the thought of “slowing down ageing”, “healthy ageing” should be emphasized where better approaches are implemented to improve our ageing process by controlling age related diseases and enhancing life span. Now, clinical researches are ongoing for many drugs like senolytics to control senescence and age related disorders. But always remember that maintaining healthy lifestyle choices are always a key for better life.

What does healthy mean?
In older days people had no senolytic agents still they lived 100 of years
And now we have to discover how to live 100 yrs
Isn’t that strange?
Oxidative stress, use of steroids for instat relief = all that is aging your physical body faster than u know
Changing into organic foods is a part of healthier choice , there are many healthy choices need to be made for staying healthy and maintaining our CELLULAR AGE and not senolytic agents
