Primary teeth/ deciduous teeth/milk teeth doesn’t need savings
Even though primary teeth falls out after a given period of time and permanent teeth erupts, it should be taken care of and treated. Primary teeth acts as a guide for permanent teeth to erupt. Ultrasonic scaling makes teeth loose
As some tooth may be found loosened after ultrasonic scaling, patients thinks it’s because of the procedure done. But it is caused by the accumulated plaque and calculus which results in inflamed gums and bone resorption. And this causes the tooth to be loosened.
Brush harder, it’ll make teeth whiter
Brushing harder removes the outermost layer of teeth i.e, enamel. It exposes dentine layer and causes hypersensitivity when subjected to a stimuli.
If there is no pain, then there is no reason to worry
Absolutely not true!! Pain is not the only indicator of oral diseases. Early stages of decay can be detected from slight discoloration and can be reversed too. Restoring/ Filling a cavity can stop the progression of caries into periapical infection or an abscess
