Intensive Care units - the highly equipped and intensive as it is named.
We all know about the common equipments that are used in the ICUs. We have read about them in the books.
But things get evolved. Lot of new technology’s have been introduced which might not be updated in the books but it is necessary that every physiotherapist must have knowledge about them.
So share your opinion that what are the new equipments and technologies and there uses that have been developed?

Advanced Patient Monitoring Systems:
Multi-parameter monitors: These devices continuously track vital signs such as heart rate, blood pressure (invasive and non-invasive), respiratory rate, oxygen saturation (SpO2), and centralized monitoring stations: Allow ICU staff to monitor multiple patients from a central location, with real-time data and customizable alerts for critical changes.
Advanced Cardiac Monitoring: Includes continuous ECG/EKG monitoring, often with advanced arrhythmia detection and analysis capabilities.
Hemodynamic Monitoring: More sophisticated systems that can assess cardiac output, systemic vascular resistance, and other parameters to guide fluid management and vasopressor use.
