Yes, physiotherapists play a key role both before and after surgery. Preoperatively, they focus on improving lung function, mobility, and strength, which helps patients recover faster. Postoperatively, they assist in pain management, early mobilization, breathing exercises, and rehabilitation to prevent complications like pneumonia or blood clots and restore function effectively.
Yes, at every stage of any pre op or post op patient, the role of physiotherapist is very crucial and necessarily important at the same time.
Physiotherapists works with the aim of minimising the complications that can hinder the recovery process of the patient - that’s the main goal and along with that they also helps in improving the recovery rate at faster pace by following the treatment protocols.
