yes, but it also been helping with various life-threatening diseases. Not depending too much on the western medicine will be better. We have our own Ayurveda which can help us with various problems. So, maybe it would be better if we stick to our own ayurveda unless itâs an emergency
As we are in modern world with modern technologies we should go with the modern medicines where ever it applies.
Definitely no. English medicine has been a lifesaver in many cases where traditional medicines wouldnât work. But the availability of modern medicines lead to its over usage and this is a concerning matter. Like painkillers and antibiotics are overused because of its huge availability. But at the same time traditional medicine were the home remedies in earlier times and it had lesser side effects when used cautiously. The same goes for both.. Both should be used in necessity and moderation.
I think it really depends on how itâs being used. Western medicine has definitely saved millions of lives: like in emergencies, surgeries, infections, etc. But the problem is when it becomes too profit-driven or when people rely only on pills instead of also looking at root causes, lifestyle, and prevention.
Itâs not that Western medicine is bad, but sometimes it ignores the body-mind connection or natural healing methods. So I feel a balanced approach is better using modern medicine when itâs really needed, but also focusing on long-term wellness through food, movement, mental health, and maybe even traditional practices.
Western Medicine is good it give immediate response to a particular disease when we use it but our traditional medicine response might be slow but it works on the root cause of disease and therefore chances of disease to occur again is very low
Today every person wants a fast relief for everything without having to pay for the prescription to the doctor!
So they misuse the drug without knowing the exact dose and time it needs to be taken for!!
Itâs not the medicine but the improper use by people that is destroying them more.
There is no comparison between english medicine and traditional medicine which one is better . Both are depend on conditions while the use of english medicine in surgery and traditional medicine in lifestyle .
English medicine is fast and traditional medicine is slow but long lasting relief .
While english focus on disease and symptoms traditional medicine focus on root cause.
In my view both are good.
while the question is english medicine is destroying us even more, it not destroying but may be harmful we need proper understanding of durgs.
Probably yes ,but because we are forgetting our traditional ways to treat the disease via natural origin medicaments preparation,Although there time for action is prolong to be effective to body, but have longer duration of effect.
On the other hand the western (English) medicine have less time to show the effect but sometimes they show long term side effect.
Itâs true that western medicines are bit more faster but on the other hand homeopathic medicines can never be forgotten as it is a part of our tradition which also holds equal place in healing some of the diseases which cannot be healed with western medicines.
This is a highly provocative question. While Western medicine has undoubtedly saved countless lives with advances in surgery, vaccinations, and life-support measures, it does have its deficiencies. At times, it leans too heavily on symptoms rather than causes and overuses drugs as a result.
But holding Western medicine entirely responsible neglects its input. What is really required is an integrative systemâwhere ancient systems such as Ayurveda or Unani are blended with evidence-based contemporary medicine for more holistic healing. Both systems have their positives, and together they might be able to deliver more than judging one against the other.
Balance is everythingâboth in treatment and viewpoint.
We should be rooted with our medical history and its medicines ..its time taking but it has fewer side effects. Modern medicines are also an great source for medication .Finally it relies on personal choices and information .
Yes many people are often using western medicine because they are not aware of traditional medicines and doesnât know how to use it. But in country side most of the people not visiting hospitals for treatment they know about herbal plants and how to use it. Allopathic medicines have adverse effects and over dose problems. So systems like ayurvedic, siddha and unani are developed which helps to recover faster and with low side effects
Just like someone said moderation is the key, the future doctors should approach the patient by using combination of western and traditional both.
Greetings to all,
I think to some extent we all are becoming too reliant on the western allopathic medicines. Like in the case of antibiotics and antimicrobial, we know people nowadays tend to take the self-medications instead of visiting a doctor and getting the required prescription. Which is leading to antimicrobial resistance in individuals very rapidly in India as well.
We can opt for the traditional medicines, like ayurvedic or unani for the benefit of us only. Like I donât think there is any harm taking them.
I believe western medicine is not âdestroying usâ, but that doesnât mean it is faultless. Western medicine focuses on curing the acute conditions like surgeries and infections, but lags in addressing the prevention. Whereas our Indian traditional medicine often focuses on a long-term well-being and the root causes, but lags in the instant response needed to cure certain medical conditions. So, I feel there should be a balance strategy, understanding when to utilize each of them.
Both English medicine and traditional like ayurveda have their own use and strengths both are useful in their own way, but we can trust western medicine in life threatening situation for its fast and effective action , traditional healing works slowly by treating the root cause of the problem . So i feel balance is the real medicine to use both kind of medicine to treat, life style modification , prevention .
Western medicines have major Side effects due using continuously and they give relief very soon compare to treditional medical
With the advancements in this modern world, we tend to choose everything that gets in a quick snap rather being in a slow and patient process. I think the same happens with our choice of medicines. As allopathic medicines provides quick action and relief, as well its ease of availability has made it more reliable than the traditional medicines, eventhough it has side effects and toxicity problems. In earlier days people were relying on traditional herbs and other sources for treating diseases which obviously was a time consuming process and at those times majority was not exposed to these western medicines either. But now, even for a mild fever we tend to take a paracetamol without even thinking about the traditional alternatives. I think it would be better if we choose the medicine depending on our disease condition. If we have any mild condition, it would be better to go with traditional alternatives, and in case, where the disease is severe, it is wise to choose western or allopathy considering its quick action and recovery.
I think not really, like western medicine isnât destroying us it saves lives and treats diseases effectively.
However, overuse, misuse, and ignoring holistic health can lead to side effects and lifestyle issues. Balance is key.
I donât think so. Nowadays our immune systems are weak, our lifestyle is unhealthy, we rarely care about us. A lot of infections and diseases are spreading gradually which can get into really serious conditions where fast action and recovery is required, For which English medicine is important. But we should not forget our Ayurveda preventive measures and medicines which might be slow but impactful . Both are required, each has its own way to solve a problem.
