Absolutely agree @Harshita_Suthar the overload is real especially in the medical field where the pressure never really lets up.

Honestly, some practical things that have helped me are:

  • Prioritizing – not everything is urgent. Tackling the most important task first really helps ease the load.
  • Taking short breaks – even 5–10 minutes of stepping away clears the mind.
  • Talking to someone – just venting to a friend or mentor can ease stress a lot.
  • Saying no when needed – it’s tough but setting boundaries is necessary.

At the end of the day, we’re human before anything else. It’s okay to pause and breathe. :star:

Overload=overwork=overtime

Totally agree. I often wonder if ‘I bit more than I can chew’.

Time management and sufficient opportunity to let ourselves unwind and recharge our brain batteries is the only way to juggle it all in real life.
Probably better communication with work peers to effectively distribute work and not get overwhelmed.

  • Define clear work hours and protect personal time—turn off work notifications when off-duty.
  • Say no to extra shifts if you’re already stretched thin. Sustainability > heroism.
  • Batch similar tasks (e.g., charting, labs) to reduce mental switching.
  • Create a sleep-friendly routine: no screens before bed, consistent schedule design.

When there is overload of work, taking small breaks and just talking to someone about it reduces the mental burden. Its true that at the end of the day, we are humans we should pause ,breathe and let ourselves recharge.

In the present day world how much ever we work it’s never enough. You still feel like you’ve done nothing. It gives you guilt and stress. Stress is a very common and accepted thing in our daily lives now. It should not be this way.
Always prioritize the tasks which gives you something in return or a task that you love. If it feels too heavy maybe it’s time to let it go. Take some small breaks every now and then. Close your eyes and breathe slowly for 60 seconds between tasks. Break your tasks into smaller parts. After accomplishing even the smallest part reward yourself with something.

Overload of work can be a common scenario in the healthcare field. Some steps that I usually take:
Scheduling the tasks for the day
Prioritizing the urgent tasks
Fixing a proper schedule to work and not working beyond that, unless there is an emergency because work-life balance also matters.

Few small and signficant steps that can help:

  1. Setting the mind (acceptance is important and once you accept, tackling it gets easy and it allows the energy to get centered and that leads to productivity with a regulated mind/head)
  2. Perfection to an extent is good, but it should be extended till a level it is beneficial and not over-stretched because of personal preference only
  3. Hydration is important
  4. Taking some “me-time” in between, even if it is just observing your breath or just looking outside or looking at the people around, as that serves as a connection to life again
  5. Gentle stretching while sitting or simply walking helps in grounding
  6. Wearing a smile on face and having a peace in the heart that you are already doing the best that you can do

PAUSE. Whenever you feel overwhelmed, overloaded, stressed, just take a Pause. A break from that thing, give some time to yourself, breathe deeply, reset and then after gaining back the strength reconnect.
Practice simple mind relaxing, self care techniques as a symbol of prioritizing yourself.
