Health supplements and immunity

Walk into any pharmacy and you will see shelves of pills promising stronger immunity. But here’s what science actually shows:

For most healthy people, supplements do not “boost” immunity beyond normal levels if their diet is already balanced. Vitamins like C, D, and zinc help only when there’s a deficiency, not as magic shields against illness. Overusing supplements can even backfire, leading to toxicity or disrupting the body’s natural balance.

Strong immunity is not found in a bottle, it is built through sleep, nutrition, excercise, stress management, and vaccination.

Do you rely more on supplements or lifestyle habits to stay healthy?

Clear, practical message. It’s important to remind people that supplements are not shortcuts to immunity and should mainly correct deficiencies, not replace healthy habits.
