The market is flooded with numerous health supplements available that boost immunity. Does a healthy individual need to boost their immunity?

Our immune system is complex and should be balanced.

  • There are conditions in which a strong immune mechanism can cause autoimmune conditions, allergies, and may also lead to chronic inflammation.

  • A weakened immune system can lead to infections and illness.

Most of the time, the immune system works in harmony for a healthy individual and does not require supplements. In fact, the unnecessary use of such a product leads to a breach in the natural balance. On the contrary, an immunodeficient individual may benefit from having supplements.

The natural way of supporting or boosting the immune system is by

  • Having a balanced diet

  • Regular exercise

  • Reducing stress.

  • Good sleep and rest.

  • Vaccines can also boost immunity against certain diseases.

It’s possible to some extent, but spreading awareness among the general public is equally important. Moreover, influencers should act responsibly and stop spreading false messages.

Our ancestors used to live longer since they had very simple active lifestyle. These days with all the advancement in privileges, the actively levels have reduced drastically and hence, getting diagnosed with lifestyle disorders have became more common.

Yes, social media is the biggest influencer for choosing supplements, however they are forgetting one that balancing is the key to keep the immunity on track.
