Health obstacle--> life of a medico abroad

Coping mechanisms to health-related obstacles. As an Indian going abroad, I faced multiple challenges beyond academics, and one of them was health adjustments.

  1. :sneezing_face:Climate change → Adapting to the Georgian climate was difficult due to extreme cold
  2. :house:Homesick → Feeling away from family is a drawback to living away
  3. :face_with_medical_mask:Flu season-> typical European flu season hits twice a year
  4. :fallen_leaf:Pollen allergy → In the season of March, the pollen shedding season hits Georgia

How I adapted:-

  1. Buying clothes according to the weather and always keeping an umbrella during the fall season.
  2. Calling home and making new friends, trying new activities, and joining new communities.
  3. Wearing masks during flu season and seasonal allergy season
  4. Keeping first aid medicines
  5. eating healthy

For those who are planning to move abroad for MBBS, it’s an experience

:wilted_flower:If someone has something more to add, let’s add and make it a kit for helping other medics. :wilted_flower:
