BAMS course is what i think
When I think about Ayurveda , preventive measures comes in my find
When i think of ayurveda i always think about old times when there were no medicines and people used to have a completely different type of system to cure ailments which was completely nature based.
Ayurveda actually represents the great Indian ancient heritage and culture .
The ancient concept of medicine that originated in India to treat mind, body, and spirit through natural practices such as herbs, dietary changes, acupuncture, massage, yoga, and meditation.
In my opinion, Ayurveda is :-
• Natural way to enhance the immunity
• Medical profession with no side effects
• May be taken longer to show effects, but long lasting effects for sure.
Ancient non-Evidence based medicine. Might be effective at times but more often than not, either useless or straight up harmful (Rasashastra - includes metals like mercury, arsenic, lead etc. which we know today are toxic in any dose)
Since i do have knowledge about the subject, now what comes to my mind is that its an indian ancient mythology used to treat people back then and is in use even now but back then when i was not really aware of it, i actually thought its just 2nd class medicine system
The art of healing through herbs
Ayurveda has its roots in ancient India, dating back to around 5000 BCE, and is closely linked to the Atharvaveda, a Hindu scripture. According to legend, Ayurveda was revealed by the god Dhanvantari, who is considered the father of Ayurveda.
Ayurveda encompasses various branches, including:
Bhoot Vidya: A branch that deals with the treatment of mental disorders, psychological issues, and even spirit possession, according to traditional beliefs.
It’s worth noting that Ayurveda has a rich history and cultural significance.
