From Medicine to Motherhood and Back

Taking a break after working as a doctor full-time felt like losing momentum. But motherhood taught me patience, empathy, and multitasking like never before. Making a comeback felt harder that ever. I thought it would be easy for people to understand that raising my babies is equally important like it is treating my patients. Some people are very welcoming but a few just need to be taught what is a basic life need. What’s your opinion on a career break to raise your family?

It’s not a career break. Its actually 24/7 full-time on-site career.

One year maternity leave should be a universal practice (only for first 2 babies in India). This will also send a signal how important motherhood is.
