As a fresher, I (and many other freshers) find it difficult and challenging due to the lack of proper guidance. I also faced the same struggle while trying to enter fields like clinical IT jobs like Pharmacovigilance, Clinical Research, Clinical Data Management . Many companies ask for experience, which makes it hard for fresh graduates to get a start.
For those who have been through this phase, could you share some tips on so that fresher can get guidance:
How to approach job hunting in these fields?
What skills or certifications make a big difference for freshers?
How do you stay motivated during the job search?
Your advice would really help me and other freshers who are trying to build a career in healthcare and pharma-related roles.
I am also in same boat, don’t know what to do how to apply nothing works. In one month I applied for more than 500 jobs no response from any company.
Proper guidance is very important on this.
How to apply, how to tailored resume.
This is such an important point you’ve voiced what so many freshers feel but don’t say out loud. Breaking into roles like PV, CR, or CDM can be tough at first, but the right certifications, networking on LinkedIn, and building small relevant projects or internships can really bridge the gap. Staying consistent and seeking mentorship from people already in the field can make the journey a lot smoother.
Breaking into the healthcare industry as a fresher in the clinical IT sector can be challenging due to limited experience requirements, high competition, and the need to balance both medical and technical knowledge. However, it also presents unique opportunities—digital health, telemedicine, AI-driven diagnostics, and electronic health records are rapidly expanding fields where fresh talent with adaptability and digital skills can thrive. With continuous learning and the right upskilling, freshers can bridge the gap between healthcare and technology, making meaningful contributions to patient care and system efficiency.
On the same level as you
I’m searching jobs , applying the ones that aligns with my vision
Gave an interview, got rejected
And still going , growing my skills
Find certificate courses that align with what you want to do
And in start you need to gain experience, go for internship roles short term ones
Coz most of it are unpaid so lesser the time better for you
Then try freelancing
Reach out with your skills in the company you want to work with
What will happen?
You will either get a job or not (which u basically don’t even have now so )
Applying to the job is one part but reaching out and showing interest is what stands you out.
Anyway, doing an certification or unpaid internship isn’t a waste. The skills you learn can be applied to your job role. If it’s meant for you, you will succeed, but if not, don’t get stuck there. We need to explore other opportunities in this field. If things don’t work out, learn from your mistakes and make a change.
This is a very relatable and important topic for fresh graduates. The article accurately captures the frustration of needing experience to get a job but not being able to get a job without experience. The discussion about the value of mentorship and certifications is a great starting point for finding a way forward.
