This is really helpful, I haven’t tried any of these courses yet, but I’m definitely planning to start soon. As a pharmacy student, I feel these extra skills will give us an edge and help us understand things beyond textbooks.

Yes I have explored courses in Pharmacovigilance (PV), Drug Regulatory Affairs (DRa), and Medical Writing, and found them valuable for building a strong foundation in the pharmaceutical industry. PV courses helped me understand drug safety and adverse event reporting, while DRa focused on regulatory compliance and approval processes. Medical Writing improved my ability to communicate complex scientific information clearly. I recommend these fields for anyone interested in pharma, along with exploring clinical research or biostatistics for broader opportunities.

NIH is also a good platform for free certificate courses

Pharmacy students should explore courses in medical coding, clinical research, data analysis, pharmacovigilance, regulatory affairs, digital health, and bioinformatics.
