Technology is a double-edged sword when it comes to mental health. On one hand it gives us access to mental health support resources and communities that promote wellness. on the other hand, due its abundance it can worsen anxiety, depression and loneliness. it has definitely restricted our interaction virtual to a large extent rather than face to face.

Technology has improved our lives in many ways but it has also made us more and more isolated.

Isolation is something I crave, with or without technology.

Technology has negatively impacted on mental health . People have secluded themselves into four walls and no interaction with real world. They live in reel world. And this impacts their thoughts and emotional development from young age .

I believe it has affected us in a negative way more than in positive.

Social media scrolling develops a sense of
insecurity and comparison. We are always in the fear of missing out. It has left us restless and impatient.

On long term basis it could lead to anxiety, body image issues, attention disorders, sleep issues and depression.

Social media, and excessive screen time can have both positive and negative effects on mental health.

While they can provide opportunities for connection, support, and education, they can also contribute to anxiety, depression, and other mental health challenges, particularly for young people. They separate and isolate us from people around us and we end up feeling lonely.
