Warfarin is an anticoagulant. Antibiotics like sulfamethoxazole-trimethoprim(Bactrim),ciprofloxacin, metronidazole etc. prevent its breakdown in liver; increases warfarin concentration in blood stream, making your blood thinner than it should be..
