Dr. Jordan B Peterson's "Lion Diet": does it really work?

Has anyone heard about Jordan Peterson’s “Lion Diet”?. This kind of diet involves consumption of only red meat. salt and water. Nothing else.

Dr. Peterson has claimed to cure his daughter’s arthritis with this Lion Diet. And he has recommended this diet to cure even cancer.

Not heard of it but yes to my suggestion being a doctor- red meat is high in saturated fat although it does not directly increase risk for heart disease but increases LDL(bad cholesterol) which can result in heart disease if consumed in large amounts.
Also consuming high salt content can result in hypertension.
So a balanced diet is always advised.

only red meat sounds like a nightmare fuel for humans… we are omnivorous for a reason

I hadn’t heard of it before, but it sounds pretty extreme. While it might’ve worked for some, there’s no strong evidence it can treat serious conditions like cancer. Best to approach such diets with caution and consult a concerned doctor first.

Red meat is highly processed and unhealthy

Whatever the disease might be, it’s not usually recommended particularly for kids and elders

We can follow various other diets like ketogenic diet/ DASH diet/ should be in calorie deficit

It is not generally recommended due to potential health risks and a lack of evidence supporting its long-term benefits. It severely limits fiber, calcium, and vitamin D, while increasing saturated fat intake, and could lead to nutritional deficiencies, digestive issues, and increased risks of heart disease and colon cancer.
