Does Ayurveda include only plant based medicines?

You will be surprised but ayurveda does not only include plants it also includes medicine prepared from animals and also the consumption of eggs ,meat of different animlas and birds .

From general perspective, yes we do all have thought about ayurveda as a plant based medicine.

But it seems like its much broader than be aspect. It would be exciting to know more about this by the professionals itself.

Yes,they actually told the recipes of how to cook the chicken soup in the right way, so that it should work at its best as a medicine.and there is many more to know about ayurveda which people barely know ! :seedling:

No, Ayurveda is not completely depend on the plant based medicines although it contains animal based medicines also such as milk honey and other natural resources such as salts and resin.

No, Ayurveda not only use plant-based medicines. It also use minerals and sometimes animal products. I heard that Ayurveda is old Indian healing system. It helps to keep body and mind in balance using natural things. Many people still believe and use it today.

Majority, they are using plants-for herbal products.
But they use animals also.
Some medicines for weight gain contains goat meat, etc.
