After achieving certain age, growth plates or epiphyseal plates starts closing, generally because of Growth hormones.

Yes of course, because growth plates in the long bones fuse after puberty due to the influence of sex hormones (especially estrogen and testosterone )

Yes , it happens .

Yes, its true.

Growth is mainly because of the epiphyseal plates present in the bones.

And after the age of 20 to 22, these got disappeared or can say fused under the influence of the hormones - this can lead to break in the increasing height.

Yes, height typically stops increasing after the age of 17–18 in females and around 18–21 in males. This is because the growth plates in the long bones, known as epiphyseal plates, gradually fuse after puberty. Once fused, no further increase in height is possible, even though the body continues to produce growth hormone throughout life. After this point, growth hormone plays a role in metabolism, muscle maintenance, and tissue repair, but not in increasing height. So while hormones remain active, the ability to grow taller naturally ends once the growth plates close.

Growth stops nearly 17-20 years of age due to fusion of epiphyseal plates.
