Digital notes vs handwritten notes — which actually helped you more in exams?
Personally I feel that handwritten notes are often considered more effective for deep learning and memory retention, as the process of writing requires active engagement with the material. This helps in better understanding and recall. On the other hand, digital notes are faster to create and easier to organize, but they can encourage more passive learning and are prone to distractions. While digital notes are convenient for quick access and review, handwritten notes tend to provide a stronger advantage for exams that require a deeper understanding of the content.
Yea.. but the handwritten notes should be legible.. or it will be difficult to go through the next time when you get to it.. happens with me all the time😛
I don’t know if you have ever come across those notes but they get circulated a lot among med students - they are hand written note made by someone on ipad.
He/She has covered Most important topics fromSubjects like medicine,Surgery,OBGY. They are really a piece of art! Helped me a lot!
Earlier, I had the same opinion like others that self hand written notes are the best but once I came across digital hand written notes, I totally enjoy reading from them too.
Even platforms like DAMS, provide those handwritten notes, you just have to order them from their official app.
Something about my 12th grade Bio teacher who made us write a lot of notes and repetitive exams suited me… I have sworn by handwritten notes since then
Handwritten notes, the whole idea of using a digital notepad is somehow little weird for me. Handwritten yes, they are messy and not so easy to organise, but i feel one feel more connected to them as compared to digital ones
Both digital and handwritten notes have their own merits digital notes help with convenience and organization, while handwritten notes help improve memory. I personally prefer handwritten notes as it helps me understand and remember better.
