CRISPR for Boosting Vitamin D Absorption.

CRISPR gene editing is now capable of potentially enhancing vitamin D absorption by inactivating SDR42E1 gene that has been linked to cancer proliferation.

Knocking out this gene in cancer cells was found to reduce their survival significantly in colorectal cancer, while also improving vitamin D absorption in the body, directing it towards healthier cells.
