Since many years, the medical practice have taken its changes and reforms to be able to

betterment of the healthcare system, it’s vital that the healthcare providers work in
harmony for the upliftment of adherence for the patients. Clinical pharmacy is one such
profession which collaborates or bridges all the healthcare providers together. They act as
a link between the physician, nurses, pharmacists and the patient. With the technological
improvement and sophisticated practice system, it’s important to have a supportive hand
along side for the physician to enhance the treatment practice. The various duties of
clinical pharmacist includes auditing, drug interventions, patient medication
reconciliation, ADR monitoring, therapeutic drug monitoring, research works, etc. Unlike
a hospital pharmacist, the clinical pharmacist is more oriented towards the patient benefit
along with the betterment of the healthcare system. So in a nutshell, clinical pharmacy is
field that can be an advantage to both the system of the society as well as the patients.
