What’s in with chlorophyll water these days ?? Is it better than taking solid greens like spinach and all? Any potential side effects with its intake ?
I had no idea these things even existed. Spinach isn’t as good for you as previously thought. Its high in oxalate and phytonutrients. The iron in spinach isn’t readily absorbed as well. There are much better sources of fibers and micronutrients.
Benefits of Chlorophyll Water:
- Antioxidant properties
- May reduce inflammation
- Supports detoxification
- Can improve skin health
- May boost energy
Side Effects:
- Gastrointestinal issues in some individuals
- Potential allergic reactions
- Interaction with certain medications
Consult a healthcare professional before consuming chlorophyll water.
It usually contains liquid chlorophyll — a water-soluble derivative of the natural chlorophyll found in green plants.
It has several benefits such as:
- improves skin health
- controls body odor
- anti oxidant and anti inflammatory effects
- weight loss
- detoxification
With these benefits it can be used as a supplement but not a substitute for solid greens.
With all the benefits mentioned , one thing to keep in mind is patient taking methotrexate should not have chlorophyll water since it delays clearance of this drug from the body and hence increasing the risk for occurrence of side effects
Chlorophyll is not intrinsic to human body. We do not have the means to digest it. Some people mistakenly think that if they consume green stuff full of Chlorophyll, it will help.
Chlorophyll water seems popular, but the benefits aren’t strongly backed by science yet. Chlorophyll water’s trendy, but solid greens like spinach or kale still win — they’ve got fiber, nutrients, and way more to offer overall.
Chlorophyll water is just water infused with liquid chlorophyll. People claim it helps with skin health, body odor, digestion, and detoxing but lacks the fiber, vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants you get from eating whole greens like spinach, kale, and broccoli. Real vegetables offer a more complete nutritional package.
