Extracurriculars do not always mean doing something boring just for the sake of adding another line to your CV. They can be things like sports, music, painting, student clubs, volunteering, or anything that actually excites you. Once you really get involved, they are genuinely fun and give you a break from the routine. What matters is knowing your priorities. Studies should come first, but experiences matter too, because they shape who you become outside the classroom.
Sometimes we keep waiting for the right time to try new things, but that time never really comes. So it makes more sense to do the things you once wished you could do. Make your life active enough that you stay busy with things that actually make you feel alive. When your days are full of learning, practice, and real experiences, you do not even feel the need to waste time scrolling endlessly, and you end the day feeling satisfied with yourself.
Extracurricular activities give a different kind of achievement. It is not always about winning something, but about feeling that you created an impact or learned something new. That feeling builds confidence slowly, and that confidence stays with you for a long time. Maybe following your dreams is not always clear, but following what feels right often leads you exactly where you are meant to be. Doing something exciting not only adds value to your CV, it also adds energy to your life. Maybe that is what people mean when they say live fully and always do a little extra.
