Bioprocess Engineering - Career Roadmap

Combining the engineering methods and mathematics with biological processes and systems to develop valuable products, is something that makes the concept of ‘Bioprocess Engineering’. This field is in growth phase and thriving to go beyond conventional subjective studies. Core concepts of Bioprocess Engineering include bioreactor design, process scale-up, optimization and control systems. Its applications are in the field of pharmaceuticals, food and beverages, environmental processes, and developing novel materials such as biodegradable polymers and other related products. One can pursue a fruitful career in Bioprocess Engineering and the key is ‘hands-on practice’ or ‘practical experience’ through laboratory work during college, internships and/or industrial projects as going ahead in the field.
