Ashtaguna Manda – The Ayurvedic therapeutic drink
If any of you or your family member experiences loss of appetite , no taste and lethargy this is the point where ashtaguna manda comes into action .

Preparation of Ashtaguna Manda :-

  1. Take 250 gm mudga ( moong dal ) , soak it for one night.
  2. Similarly take 250 gm of shashtik shali ( type of a rice ) and soak it for one night.
  3. Add 14 times of water to the mixture of moong dal and rice.
  4. Boil this manda until the moong dal and rice are cooked properly.
  5. Filter the prepared mixture .
  6. Add pinch of trikatu churna ( sunth , marich , pippali ) , coriander powder , black salt , ghee and hing ( asafoetida ) into this manda

Uses of Ashtaguna Manda :-

β€’ Improves Agni ( digestive power )
β€’ Used in fever as agni is disturbed in fever , manda is used to improve the digestive power
β€’ Lethargy
β€’ Is widely used in Raktavikar ( blood related disorders )
β€’ Balances Tridoshas ( Vata , Pitta , Kapha )

Ashtaguna manda is not heavy to digest hence can be used to improve the agni , which in turn reduces the chances of many diseases .
Widely used to recover the gut health.Maintains hydration , nutrition and digestion.

One of the most commonly used preparations from ayurveda. Very useful when you don’t feel like eating (loss of apitite).
