Is there any difference in doing mbbs from AIIMS and any other government medical college?
What are the perks for this?

All AIIMS institutions are expected to have the same uniform standards or at least evolve into institutions of eminence with the same kind of standard - because the code source is same, so to say!
I’m not sure about Govt medical colleges (GMCs) if they can have that kind of uniform standards. Because first of all they are typically state - run. Based upon the state, its commitment to medical education and budgetary allocations, variations are bound to be there. Ideally, there should be uniform but then practically, it doesn’t look like. I’m open to your thoughts and opinions on this.

I think the main difference between studying in any gmc or AIIMS is the peer group n alumni association u get when u study at AIIMS . The network is incredible as far as I know .

AIIMS have more pros as compared to that of GMCs
AIIMS often has super-specialty exposure, top-notch research, and a highly competitive peer group. It’s like being in the medical Olympics.
While other government colleges provide solid training, AIIMS offers that extra edge in cutting-edge facilities and academic environment.
Yes of course, AIIMS considered as a top medical institution of India.
