Sotheby’s in New York is auctioning off the largest known Martian meteorite ever found on Earth — weighing over 24 kg (54 lbs)!

This space rock, named NWA 16788, traveled over 140 million miles from Mars before landing in the Sahara Desert. It’s believed to have been ejected by a massive asteroid impact on Mars and has now become a scientific and collector’s dream.

I think space rocks should be kept in museums so that everybody gets a chance to get a glimpse of it.

It’s also helpful that scientists can study a lot more about the space(mars) rock which can be helpful for the future.
