During my intern period i have see people saying that they don’t get operated on new year ( the first day of the new year) , and full moon days which is ammavasai in tamil even they have serious issues that need to operated to get well.
Have you heard of this. Let me know if you heard of this.
No specific reason behind that people used to say that if do any operation on special day it will bring us more diseases. In tamilnadu there are more myths like these they used to believe.
Yes, I’ve heard of this. In many South Indian, especially Tamil, traditions, people often avoid surgeries on New Year’s Day (either January 1st or Tamil New Year) and on days like Amavasai (new moon) or Pournami (full moon). These days are considered spiritually significant or inauspicious, and undergoing surgery is believed to bring bad luck or poor health throughout the year. Even if the condition is serious, some prefer to postpone unless it’s an emergency.
Never heard of it. But as per the spiritual beliefs within the country, the full moon period has a significant impact on our emotions like during full moon, people who are emotionally sensitive by nature, they feel more of moodiness and emotional fluctuations occur during that time. Also new moon period has some energy intensity to it, in the sky. The lunar cycle does play some role towards our sleep and indirectly on our well-being and few studies have outlined this as well. Maybe because of this energy intensity, people tend to avoid operation or surgery during these times, as our bodies are sensitive during then. This can be one way to look at it.
Yes, I have heard about this many times. People usually don’t visit on such special days like 1st january, Sankranti, Gudi padwa, akshay tritiya, Dipawali, etc. considering that when you visit Dr. on these special days the whole year you suffer with visiting Dr.s and build up with bad energy.
