A Body Against Disorder

Ever thought about how entropy applies to us, not just physics?

In simple terms, entropy is the tendency of systems to move towards disorder. Left alone, things fall apart. But life… does the opposite.

Our body is constantly fighting entropy, maintaining structure, repairing damage, regulating temperature, balancing ions. Every heartbeat, every ATP molecule, every cellular process is basically a quiet rebellion against chaos.

But here’s the catch: this order isn’t free. It comes at the cost of energy.

So when we feel exhausted, when healing slows, when systems fail, it’s not just “disease.” It’s the body losing its ability to keep entropy in check.

Kind of makes you look at fatigue, aging, and illness a little differently, doesn’t it?

We’re not just living, we’re continuously resisting disorder.

And that, in itself, is pretty incredible.
