Zaynich gets it's new FDA Achievement

Zaynich is a new Indian Homegrown injectable antibiotic developed to treat serious bacterial infections, like complicated UTI.

It is a combination of cefepime, a 4th generation cephalosporin and zidebactam, a novel molecule developed by a Mumbai-based pharmaceutical company Wockhardt.

On May 30, 2026 the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved Zaynich for US and Europe leading to a big breakthrough for Indian pharmaceuticals. This drug is different from the generics available, targetting the multi drug resistant cases of bacterial infection while giving an amazing record of 89% cure rate in Phase-3 trials. Multi drug resistance limits the treatment options and hence development to a totally new molecule that targets response towards E.coli, Klebsiella and Pseudomonas have shown a big break through for complicated case in the medicine industry and providing the lifesaving therapeutic option.
