Yes, some cosmetic skincare products are very good and safe also. Many brands are working hard to give best results. But before using, I will check the ingredients and skin type. Sometimes pharmacy or drug store products are better for sensitive or medical skin issues. So, it depends on skin condition. But yes, I can recommend good cosmetic brands if they are trusted and suitable.

Cosmetic Skincare Brands:-

  • Cetaphil – Very gentle, good for dry and sensitive skin.
  • Simple – No fragrance, good for beginners.
  • The Ordinary – Effective serums (like Niacinamide, Hyaluronic Acid), but start slow.
  • Minimalist – Indian brand, science-based and clean.
  • Dot & Key – Good for brightening and hydration.
  • mCaffeine – Coffee-based products, suitable for oily to normal skin.

Pharmacy/Drugstore Brands :-

  • Bioderma – Great for sensitive and acne-prone skin.
  • La Roche-Posay – Trusted brand, great sunscreens and moisturizers.
  • Avene – Soothing products, good for redness and irritation.
  • Sebamed – Very gentle, pH-balanced.
  • Ahaglow or Cipla Products – Commonly prescribed by dermatologists.

Honestly, it depends on what my skin needs. Cosmetic brands often focus on feel and experience, while pharmacy skincare is backed by science and dermatology. the best routine is a mix of both!

I would recommend the right brands and point out the problem causing ones first.
If it aligned with the patients comfort and style, it would help a little.
Ultimately each skin type responds differently to cosmetics these days and not one fixed brand completes an individual’s product collection range.
Skin health should be prioritised over cosmetic/blemish coverup.
Healthy skin automatically looks great.

It depends on one’s skin texture.
Look for the ingredients and note whether it will cause any side effects to skin.
For choosing sunscreen:
•If you have acne- choose gel type sunscreen.
•For clear skin-choose cream type sunscreen.
#Note: Always use sunscreen, which has 50+ SPF.

I have seen the cosmetic brand in the crash cart at dermatology departments

If the skin needs then why not? Also some cosmetic brands do produce great results
