Why Do Healthy Habits Feel Impossible to Maintain? 🥦

We all know eating well, exercising, and sleeping enough are good for us yet somehow, life keeps getting in the way :downcast_face_with_sweat:.

Why it feels impossible:

Busy schedules :hourglass_not_done: work, studies, and social obligations steal time.

Instant gratification :chocolate_bar: junk food, binge-watching, and scrolling are easier than cooking or exercising.

Lack of clear goals :bullseye: starting healthy habits without a plan makes them easy to quit.

Stress & fatigue  tired minds crave comfort, not discipline.

:light_bulb: Tip: Start tiny, even 10 minutes of movement, a simple balanced meal, or 5 minutes of meditation counts. Small wins stack up into lifelong habits.

So, tell me what tiny change will you start today to make health easier? :flexed_biceps:

I’ll think start preplanning my meals so I don’t have to order out due to laziness.

Thinking to stick on to the 3 D’s of a new habit formation- :slightly_smiling_face:

  1. Decision
  2. Determination
  3. Discipline

That’s a great start Allanah, You could try meal prepping twice a week, it saves time, keeps you eating healthy, and makes “lazy days” guilt-free and stress-free.

Perfect mantra Dr. Triveni :flexed_biceps: Once these 3 D’s align, consistency becomes effortless and growth becomes inevitable.

I’ll start by adding a 10-minute walk to my daily routine to get moving without feeling overwhelmed. Pairing it with one balanced meal a day feels like a simple, achievable step toward healthier habits.

I used to do 10x Suryanamaskars every morning but lost track of it since a few weeks. Time to go back to being fit and healthy!

In today’s busy world, we often have very little time for ourselves. After completing our hectic schedules, we don’t really have time for self-care. The things most often compromised are sleep, exercise, and healthy eating, which are essential aspects of self-love.

The change I would love to bring to my life is to start exercising regularly and make it a consistent habit.

That’s a fantastic start! Dr. Swati :woman_walking::green_salad: You could also try pairing your 10-minute walk with a short mindfulness or breathing exercise it’s quick, boosts focus, and makes the habit even more rewarding. Small additions like this can really snowball into bigger lifestyle changes!

That’s great! Aditi :sun_with_face::flexed_biceps: Starting again with Suryanamaskars is a perfect way to reignite your fitness routine.

Absolutely! Divya :herb: Making exercise a consistent habit is a powerful form of self-love. Start small, just a few minutes a day and gradually build up.

What’s one simple exercise you’d enjoy doing daily to kickstart this habit?

A brisk walk of 15 minutes :slightly_smiling_face:

Starting with 5-10 minutes of exercise will help in starting and while working we won’t even realise when we’ve reached goal of day the key is to be regular and slowly increase time.
