The subject of biotechnology is very broad; it includes all science-related knowledge. Biotechnology students are very familiar with this. They are already trained to understand biology, diseases, and research papers; they only have to upgrade their writing skills.
The biotechnology field has strong concepts related to all areas of science, such as cell biology, genetics, immunology, molecular biology, bioprocessing, bioinformatics, and biostatistics, etc. Biotechnology students are already familiar with all these areas of knowledge, and they also have the habit of reading research papers, research articles, STM journals, and thesis writing experience.
They are very familiar with the terminology, drug mechanisms, and their pathways; on the other hand, they also have the knowledge of data interpretation, like graphs, results, and statistics.
And the one thing that more fitted them to be in this field is that they are researchers; they always think with a research mindset, they have research experiences, practical knowledge, accuracy, and evidence-based conclusions. These are all the things that are best for becoming great medical writers.
Medical writing is not limited to only doctors; biotech students can also do it with more writing practice and clear communication.
