Which Pressor Works Best for Pediatric Septic Shock?

Children with septic shock without known cardiac dysfunction, initial treatment with norepinephrine was associated with a lower 30-day mortality but similar rates of major adverse kidney events by 30 days (MAKE30) compared with epinephrine.

Aniket: For pediatric septic shock, Dopamine used to be the preferred vasopressor.
The JAMA study you cited shows some difference between Epi Vs No-epi, but until more studies are done, we can use either of these- Epi or Nor epi. I will not use Dopamine.
Now for neonates: Dopamine and Nor epi have similar efficacy and Dopamine is widely used for septic shock.
