When wound healing halts: The hidden role of Nutritional deficiencies.

Some wounds heal fast, whereas others take ages. When we think about wound healing, our minds think about diabetes, poor circulation or long standing infection straight away. we don’t however think about a poor diet.

Your body needs the right nutrients to repair itself. In the simplest terms,

  1. Protein: helps to build new tissue
  2. Vitamin C helps in building collagen
  3. Zinc helps with cell growth
  4. Vitamin A helps with skin health.

when these nutrients are missing, wounds may stay red, painful or reopen easily.

Diet, lifestyle and medicine all play an important role in wound healing. Dehydration can also reduce nutrients and oxygen reaching the wound.

The body also needs a balanced diet to repair itself. So, next time a cut or wound seems ro linger longer than usual, could a nutritional deficiency be holding you back?

Of course! Many people ignore the importance of nutrition in the healing process of wounds. Without the proper fuel, the body cannot heal; protein, vitamins, and minerals are actually the building blocks of healing. Your post effectively demonstrates how lifestyle, nutrition, and hydration all contribute to quicker, healthier internal healing.
