When the Heart Loses Its Rhythm: Bradycardia, Tachycardia & Arrhythmia

Our heart is like the body’s natural metronome, beating in a steady rhythm. But sometimes, this rhythm changes, and that’s when terms like bradycardia, tachycardia, and arrhythmia come into play.

Bradycardia: The heart beats slower than normal. It may feel calm in athletes, but in others, it can cause fatigue or dizziness.

Tachycardia: The heart races faster than it should. Stress, fever, or heart issues can trigger it, putting extra strain on the heart.

Arrhythmia: The heart beats irregularly sometimes fast, sometimes slow, sometimes uneven. Some types are harmless, others need urgent attention.

Understanding these conditions helps us listen to our body better and act before small warning signs turn serious.
