Being good at something unnoticed, like remembering small personal details, is an underrated skill that often goes uncelebrated. No one claps when you recall a friend’s favorite snack or the date they mentioned a childhood story, yet it can deeply strengthen bonds. These quiet acts of attentiveness work in the background, building trust and warmth without demanding recognition. In a world chasing loud achievements, such skills remind us that value isn’t always about applause—it’s about impact, even if it’s silent. The real reward is the connection it creates.
Helping others when someone really needed .
I’m quietly proud of my ability to distill complex medical concepts into simple, relatable explanations whether I’m teaching a peer, guiding a patient, or helping someone understand a tough study topic. It’s not a flashy skill, but it’s invaluable in healthcare: clarity and empathy truly can make a difference.
Then one has to stop expecting for appreciation, and accept the fact that move on.
It it’s meant to be, it will find it’s way back to you.
Just keep on putting your genuine efforts.
Patience. for example, I had to wait for 8 minutes as per the computer programe of this page just to post this word PATIENCE. Such an underrated quality of mine.
Exams in Medical colleges and PG entrances is no less than a rat race . For me it is surviving all the peer pressure , having sleepless nights for like a month during your final year profs. sleeping for barely 2 -3 hours the night before the paper so that you can complete all the revision to get that last day revision confidence and still managing to give your 100 % by staying alert on the next day and handling that frustration for a month long with all the patience and calmness is something which is very underrated which all of us go through and have gone through but is never appreciated about .
So many things, but it doesn’t matter. I will clap for myself. I will keep going if I am honest with myself, my work, and my life.
During my UG , I’m in second year i got hospitalized for severe dehydration due to insufficient sleep and mental health after a week of semester exam. Because i used to study day and night without considering my health after a week i entering into another semester i had my internal exams i didn’t even know the syllabus was, i struggled to not study but even concentrate i cant hold a pen in my hand due to excessive IV fluid drips. That time i was thought like i will fail on my internals but my mind didn’t give up on that i just read whatever i can before 1 hr of exam i wrote whatever i can reproduce. I got good score that time everyone shocked because i can’t hold a pen and can’t even stand without help of anyone. That time i felt myself as proud like we can do anything at any condition whatever our mind wants even our physical health won’t support but our mental thoughts can do.
I don’t want to be overconfident but I am good with people, good at talking with people, good at hearing the problems of peeple, unfortuanately I have very few people who listen to me .
and i am good at dance also , I love dance . I m single child, so I have to listen to my parents , but if had not listened to them ,at the time of my career building I would have done something in dancing field. it is not like I am not happy with my current path, but I always think ,if I had done something which I love to do , then i would have received more claps.
So true. Many silent efforts go unnoticed, but they take the most strength. For me, it’s keeping calm and positive even when things inside feel tough. No one claps for it, but it helps me move forward every day.
When we are from the low background and without any financial help and then u choose to get back to stand with only the parents support and the smile they carry out each and everyday . Made me too choose and stand for them and here iam with my adaptability nature to withstand any situation and travel alone and no appreciation needed. And I don’t expect appreciations it may increase proudness in mee soo I’m happy with all me with no appreciation. Thanks to MedBound for this opportunity to speak out with the people outhere and sharing their experiences.
Helping other even if I am facing many issues and finally geting insulted by the person to whom I helped
I feel that having the confidence that I can be good at anything is the thing I am good at. Let me tell you , i dropped my MBBS for rifle shooting with no prior experience. I had zero knowledge of what it is . But within a year , i qualified pre-state , state , pre-state nationals and Nationals and got qualified for Indian team trials. But due to constant family pressure I had to rejoin mbbs.
I feel that one can be good at anything because the basic behaviour required to be good at anything is same in all fields.
I feel I have the ability to detach myself even from my favourite things and move on.
Multi-tasking: handling care for my child , working at the clinic , doing household chores by myself , doing clinic research internship , evrything in a go, but unfortunately never praised up
Peace is the most neglected thing an individual often forgets to achieve. Mental peace, stability on our thoughts and not to overthink too much are the most important factors which will ultimately makes an individual stay calm and composed through the life. It directly impacts health and overall well being of a human being.
My biggest win is being able to be calm and composed at every situation life throws at me. I sure break down but I am my biggest cheer leader because one has to be as being brought in typical brown household (no space for emotional support)
I’m a really very kind heart person my frd are know that but they are not appreciate that
Whenever I’m going to help they’re looking me like fool
I’m good at stepping in when someone struggles with complex topics. I break it down, simplify it and present it in a way that feels easier to grasp. No applause for it but the real satisfaction comes when they finally say, “Now I get it.” Their smiling faces makes my day more satisfying.
I have been called “jack of all trades, master of none”. Some people may see it as in insult. But, I take it as a compliment because have little or half decent ideas about most topics on life, science, sports, philosophy etc. Helps me build a connection from all walks of life.
