What is photoaging?

Photoaging is when your skin ages prematurely, meaning it looks older than it should for your actual age. This happens mainly because of repeated and unprotected exposure to ultraviolet (UV) radiation from the sun or tanning beds.
Think of it like this: the sun’s rays damage the important parts of your skin (like collagen and elastin, which keep it firm and smooth), leading to signs of aging like:
Wrinkles and fine lines
Dark spots or “age spots”
Uneven skin tone and texture
Loss of skin firmness or elasticity
Essentially, photoaging is sun damage that speeds up the visible aging process of your skin.

Yes, sun screens are mandatory when we are at home as well as when we are outside.
