Yes, nowadays there is a lot of information available on internet and its difficult to decide whether it is authentic or not. The only way to assure is by doing self research or consulting a qualified doctor.
In my opinion, any sane and educated human being consuming such content, become automatically obliged to not follow it blindly, because what the other person is endorsing, sitting in front of the camera, is highly professional and for monetary benefits, not philanthropy. If they are doing their job, subsequently we should do ours of cross-checking the facts and then applying onto our lives.
To this ever increasing these âso called expertsâ, there should be law in India too against these fake doctors as there is in China. People often judge the doctors, especially the young doctors only because of their age and experience. But these same people blindly believes health facts that circulates in social media. There should definitely be a law that allows only the medical experts to give information regarding health and those influencers who promote unhealthy information should be given proper punishments.
This is a much needed conversation,Critical thinking needs to become a health skill. Encouraging people to pause, verify sources, look for evidence, and understand who benefits from the advice is important . Teaching people how to read labels, question bold claims, and recognize sponsored content can go a long way.Not every trending opinion deserves trustâreading, questioning, and seeking qualified guidance protects both health and peace of mind.
Thatâs a important concern ⌠If a product is selled at high rate in the market then people blindly consume it rather than verifying and checking its actual ingredients .
Another good example is âhealthy protein snacks.â Many barely contain meaningful protein yet are highly calorie-dense. Consumers often trust the marketing or influencer endorsements, assuming they aid weight loss. This makes nutrition education crucial to prevent people from falling for misleading health claims.
Knowledge is power and highly underrated in todayâs day and age. So much so that itâs comical to see quacks and uneducated fools parade as doctors!
Nowadays social media is playing a vital role in every topic sometimes it is useful but to some extent in the similar way sharing too much medial information or suggesting some products through online, since everyone are using social media which is accessible but before using the product please check out the product details and brand .
Absolutely agree! The blind believing of health hacks via social media, those who arenât experts, needs to stop.
Also various nutritional/health brands pay influencers to conduct false marketing in order to gain more customers.

The sad reality of the present era is that the celebrity who would not even taste a spoon of cake as itâs sweet poison will say yes to be the new brand ambassador of a cold drink brand. High time we open the blind fold and stop being influenced by them.
This article is extremely relevant in todayâs era. I think people must consider the side-effects of any health hack, look for reviews online, ask the people who share such posts whether it is verified, also research about who is actually taking the responsibility to verify the effectiveness of such interventions.
There is indeed an ample amount of information on social media. And people are dumping information without verifying anything, so the responsibility comes to the consumer to not believe everything and anything said on the socials. I also think that there should be some regulations for influencers. Also, someone who has not studied medicine shouldnât be advising people on any kind of medicine. People should be aware not follow every piece of advice from someone because they have more followers.
This is such an important concern, especially today. Medical information without context and evidence can do more harm than good, particularly when opinions are mistaken for professional advice.
Encouraging people to read authentic sources and consult experts is the key. Health decisions should not be driven by trends or assumptions but by evidence and individual needs.
Critical thinking is as important as information accessibility.
Social media shares a lot of medical information like wellness advice, nutrition Tips, Excercise routines and self care ideas while some of it can be helpful and encourage healthier habit and become more aware of symptoms and health conditions. However, much of this information is unverified and can create fear, confusion, and self-diagnosis. While awareness is good, medical advice should come from qualified professionals, not social media posts.
This is absolutely true. Every second person on social media is right now a âHEALTH INFLUENCERâ. There is no any with this if you are spreading authentic information to the public. But it becomes a huge problem when some people misuse the trust of their audience and spread fake awareness about products with no authenticity.
Moreover, half knowledge is always dangerous. So unless you have proper understanding of things with scientific reasoning you shouldnât be the one Influencing people regarding any medical topic.
Much needed for toadyâs world scenario people often believe content in social media due to lack of patience to verify it . So building a platform for verifying and improving knowledge in short forms would be a great approach .
Given the easy reach of social media to a vast set of population, it has become a go to marketing strategy for business platforms including the oneâs in Healthcare and lifestyle sector. To market and promote their products, services or brands, a lot of information is shared online. Much of that is biased and without any supporting scientific evidence or clinical research.
But as the peer reviewed journals and research papers are not accessible to all, there is no way for common people to cross check the authenticity of these unverified informations and claims.
Besides they claim to solve real problems of the masses and the technological advancements make them so appealing and genuine that people easily fall prey to them.
To counter it there should be some guidelines on the eligibility of the author and the disclosure of source so that people can make informed decisions.
Thatâs very true that there are many unverified information in social media. It can mislead people and even cause devastating damages to people and the society as a whole. So proper guidelines have to be set by the government in order to control this.
As a Public we have to think wise over every single information! Now a days these factors of sharing information regarding the health issues whether a serum or healthy mix its all are upto to them and the people whoâve they experienced. But the symptoms is different for each individual, without any thorough assessment sharing information is not the way to save gratitude. Any health condition need treatment not an information.
