Got an offer from a university in Germany after a year of hard work.
I should be happy… but I’m scared.
Living alone, being away from family — it’s all hitting now.
Is it normal to feel this way? What should I do?

If someone have even think of doing work abroad, these are the first thoughts that would come to the mind of every individual. It’s really common in my perspective.
But these are the opportunities which can make an individual come out from their comfort zone.
Potential solution to such situation can be connecting yourself with those people who are the part of the university. Get used to the environment by asking them about their experiences - this can make your worries to least and you will be able to decide that you should whether go for it or not.
First of all, CONGRATULATIONS , opportunities like such are god sent.
And the feeling you are fearing is that of stepping into new waters.
Very justified, and I’m sure everyone at your family is going to be there for you emotionally and in spirit, to make up for the physical distance.
Once you step out of your comfort zone, having to learn the new language, culture, lifestyle and WORK, is going to take up all the time you spend there.
At some point you’ll realize, Change is the only constant in life.
I feel you should thank everyone for their support while you worked for your dreams and make sure you make the big move with everyone’s blessings, with a smile on your face.
ALL THE BEST
Congratulation , can you please share or give some guidance.
Big Congratulations !!
It happens… Happened with me as well when I got my offer letter , it life and growing up …
But trust me , trust the process and don’t miss this opportunity… Your life will explode with opportunities
Just keep 2 things in mind … Stay in touch with your loved ones and take care of your health and you’ll ace it
Find your own community after reaching there .. it will take time .. You will find good friends who are like family .. you can find some Indian communities and start connecting with them if you feel excluded. But it will be a good opportunity definitely. Nervousness is natural
Congratulations
Great opportunity and explore more thing and study in abroad is good but in germany language barrier
Leaving your family to follow your dreams isn’t easy—it’s okay to feel emotional about it. Give yourself time. Stay in touch with loved ones, explore your new surroundings, and meet new people—you’ll soon start feeling at home.
Uncertainty is scary only
First of all congratulations!!! Totally normal to feel this way, excitement and fear often come together with big changes. It means you care. Take it one step at a time, and trust the strength that got you this far. You’ve got this.
I read somewhere today on the internet that “sometimes bravery looks like fear too”
Congratulations Yashasvini! Keep focusing on the positives. You need to be brave and ambitious if your want to achieve something unusual. Not everyone gets this opportunity. So, go ahead and begin the new journey.
